Jawline Enhancement
Revitalize your Face
It is often said that beauty is only skin deep, but in reality, it is the amalgamation of the natural variations in our facial bones are what create each of our unique faces. A strong jawline is often considered desirable in both men and women. Our experienced, board-certified surgeons offer a variety of options that include angle of the jaw implants, chin implants, and custom implants to create a more defined jawline and well-balanced chin projection. The Jawline Enhancement Procedure
During your consultation, our board-certified surgeons will work with you to choose the implants to create a customized treatment plan based on your anatomy and goals. If you and your surgeon choose a custom jawline implant, a specialized X-ray, a CT, will be ordered to create a 3-D image of your facial bones so that the implant can be designed. The angle of the jaw implants are placed through incisions located on the inside of your mouth. Chin implants are placed through either the inside of the mouth or through a small incision hidden under the chin. Custom jawline implants may require both incisions inside of the mouth and a small incision under the chin. Whether custom or “off the shelf”, the implants are designed to fit against the jawbone or chin so they cannot be detected when touched. Once healed, the implants do not move as natural healing brings the implant tightly against the bone. The implants do not move even with trauma. *
Customizing your Jawline Enhancement
Our experienced surgeons offer a spectrum of options using the most advanced techniques to enhance your jawline while maintaining a natural appearance. The type of procedure will depend on your individual anatomy and goals. Angle of the jaw implants can enhance and better define the jawline, chin implants create better chin projections, and custom jawline implants can create an implant that is specifically made for a customized fit for your specific bone structure and your desired jawline enhancement. Your surgeon will evaluate your face to help you determine which approach is right for you.
* Individual results and recovery may vary.
Recovery & Results
Our team will discuss all aspects of your procedure and recovery at your consultation. They will also be there for you after your procedure for any questions you might have. Following your jawline enhancement procedure, there may be incisions inside of your mouth and/or under your chin. If there are incisions inside of your mouth, good oral hygiene, including antiseptic mouthwash, limited to soft foods, and rinsing following meals can help assure a quick healing process. The mouth and chin incision typically heals within seven days. * In addition, head elevation and surgical site icing will limit swelling. Mild bruising and swelling following your procedure are expected as is some mild discomfort with chewing. These will all completely resolve as you heal.
* Individual results and recovery may vary.
