Other Facial Implants
Revitalize your Face
It is the different and unique variations in the bone structures of our faces that shape our facial features and make us look like who we are. While beauty is said to be skin deep, it actually is much deeper, all the way to the bony foundation. Making subtle changes in the bony structure of our faces can make subtle or dramatic changes, depending on your anatomy and goals.
Changes to the bony structure of our faces can be made with facial implants. Common facial implants include chin, cheek, and jaw implants. Other facial implants can include tear trough implants to fill the hollows that form below the lower eyelids with aging, temporal implants to fill the hollows in the facial temple areas that can form with age or weight loss, and custom implants to address a bony facial asymmetry. Our highly experienced, board-certified surgeons offer a wide array of facial implants. Contact us to schedule your consultation to discuss the available options.
Facial Implant Procedures
During your consultation, our board-certified surgeons will work with you to create a customized treatment plan based on your anatomy and goals. We use the most advanced techniques to enhance the bony foundation that shapes your face to make subtle or dramatic changes to fit your goals.
Facial implants, with the exception of lip implants, are placed against the bone and fixed in place. As complete healing occurs, the implant will be sealed against the bone by the body during the healing process, making it unlikely to move, feel, or be visually identified. The facial implants are placed though small incisions hidden in areas where they are difficult to identify, even in the early part of the healing process. Facial implants may be placed under local anesthesia or under IV sedation, depending on the choice you and your surgeon make.
If custom implants are chosen, a specialized X-ray, a CT, is used to build a three-dimensional model of your facial bones. You and your surgeon will work closely to have the implant made to fit your unique anatomy to achieve your unique goals.
Recovery & Results
Your surgeon will discuss all aspects of your procedure and recovery at your consultation. Depending on the type of facial implant placed, you may have incisions hidden in various areas including inside of your mouth, hair, eyelid, or under the chin or lower eyelash line. Following the surgery, your team will instruct you on how to care for your incision to help assure a quick healing process. It is expected to have some swelling and bruising that will resolve as you heal. Most guests plan on one week off from work. *
*Individual results and recovery may vary.
